Welcome

Mashhad-e-Hind (also written Mashhad e Hind or Mashad-e-Hind), known for generations as the Panj Peer Mazar, stands in the old town of Samana in Punjab. It is revered as the resting place of Imamzada Syed Mashhad Ali, of the family of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family). Visitors of many faiths come here to offer their respects and prayers.

A Persian inscription found at the shrine records that the building was raised in the month of Ramadan, 967 AH, in the fourth year of the reign of Emperor Akbar.
